KCCA Maps Out Strategy to Combat Impending Floods

As the skies prepare to open with the anticipated rains, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has announced a proactive strategy to address the perennial issue of urban flooding that often paralyzes the city.

The authority’s plan focuses on enhancing the city’s drainage infrastructure, a critical component in managing stormwater runoff. Key interventions include the expansion and desilting of major drainage channels, which are often overwhelmed during periods of heavy rainfall.
