High Court in Kiboga has convicted prison warder Moses Anguyo after he entered a guilty plea for his involvement in a deadly shooting at Kiboga Central Prison on February 23. The incident tragically claimed the lives of four individuals.
Anguyo, identified by prison warder number 13544, appeared before Justice Jane Okuo Kajuka and admitted guilt to four counts of murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, and one count of threatening violence. This plea was entered during a special High Court session convened to address the case.
The convicted warder is not the sole individual facing accusations related to the February 23 events. He is jointly charged with three other suspects. The overall case comprises 11 counts, indicating the complex nature of the investigation into the prison shooting and its surrounding circumstances.
