Museveni Welcomes Five New Ambassadors to Uganda

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has welcomed five new ambassadors to Uganda, marking the formal commencement of their diplomatic assignments. The envoys, representing the United Arab Emirates, the People’s Republic of China, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Sweden, and the Federal Republic of Germany, presented their Letters of Credence to the President at State House Entebbe.

This formal presentation underscores Uganda’s dedication to fostering robust bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation with its global partners. President Museveni extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed representatives and expressed his wishes for their success during their tenure in the country.

The five ambassadors who have officially begun their roles are H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman Ali Al Bishr (United Arab Emirates), H.E. Wu Guangrong (People’s Republic of China), H.E. Angele van der Heijden-Samura (Kingdom of the Netherlands), H.E. Anna-Maria Olsson (Kingdom of Sweden), and H.E. Sigrid Ingelore Luise Sommer (Federal Republic of Germany).

The Ugandan government anticipates a collaborative period ahead, aiming to deepen mutual understanding, expand areas of cooperation, and strengthen the existing bonds of friendship with these nations. The ceremony was attended by key officials including Mr. Vincent Bagiire Waiswa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Henry Mayega.

This event reinforces Uganda’s active engagement in international diplomacy and its commitment to building strong, productive relationships with countries worldwide.
