Supporting Uganda's Dementia Caregivers During World Alzheimer's Month

September is recognized globally as World Alzheimer’s Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and fostering understanding around dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. While this period highlights the challenges faced by those living with these conditions, it also shines a spotlight on the immense burden shouldered by their caregivers.

Caring for someone with dementia is a demanding role, often involving significant emotional, physical, and financial strain. Caregivers frequently experience stress, anxiety, depression, and social isolation as they navigate the progressive nature of the disease.
