Letshego Uganda has solidified its alliance with the Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) through a Shs10 million commitment towards the organization’s 2026 Caravan. This initiative aims to bolster community-led projects focused on health, education, and economic empowerment.

The 12th annual AMDA Caravan is scheduled to take place from September 4th to 6th at St. Claret Catholic Parish in Sheema District. Organizers have set a fundraising target of Shs500 million to support AMDA’s diverse programs, which include enhancing access to healthcare, education, vocational training, agriculture, and youth empowerment.

Giles Aijukwe, CEO of Letshego Uganda, highlighted that the company’s ongoing collaboration with AMDA underscores its dedication to supporting practical solutions for vulnerable communities. “AMDA’s work demonstrates what is possible when communities are supported with practical solutions that respond to real needs,” Aijukwe stated. “Our continued partnership is a reflection of our belief that sustainable impact requires consistency.”

The AMDA Caravan serves as a vital platform for mobilizing resources from communities and development partners to fund programs that improve livelihoods and access to essential services. AMDA reports that its interventions positively impact over 7,000 individuals through various initiatives.

Letshego Uganda views its partnership with AMDA as a key component of its wider commitment to collaborating with community-based organizations for sustainable social and economic development. This contribution arrives as AMDA prepares to host this year’s event, with the fundraising drive expected to inject much-needed resources into the association’s ongoing development efforts.
