Maro Navigates Music Career, Family, and Business Between Uganda and Zambia

Singer Maro, whose real name is Ronald Magada, has shared insights into the demanding juggle between his thriving music career in Uganda and his commitments to family and business in Zambia. The artist, celebrated for his poignant lyrics, has consciously slowed down his music output recently to pour energy into various investment opportunities.

Explaining his divided attention, Maro stated that maintaining ventures in both countries often makes it challenging to focus solely on music. “I have different ventures that I’m investing my money in. I have to divide myself and balance my life here and in Zambia. It has been difficult for me to concentrate sometimes, but as long as we have life, music will always come,” he revealed.

Despite a reduced schedule for releasing new songs, Maro assures fans that his songwriting prowess remains undiminished. He confirmed that he continues to pen lyrics for both his own upcoming projects and for fellow artists. “My pen game is still solid and everyone should hear it. I can never stop writing. Even now, I have written for some people and also written my own songs that I’m set to release during this period,” he added.

Maro and his family previously resided in Germany before establishing their base in Zambia. Nevertheless, he frequently travels back to Uganda to ensure his presence and engagement within the local music scene remain strong. This strategic approach signifies not an abandonment of his musical path, but rather a deliberate effort to harmonize his artistic endeavors with his familial duties and burgeoning business ventures.
