MP Mporera Distributes Mock Exams to Boost PLE Performance in Ndorwa West

Ndorwa County West Member of Parliament, Eliab Naturinda Mporera, has launched a significant initiative to bolster the academic performance of Primary Seven candidates in his constituency. A total of 2,125 students from 54 examination centers are set to benefit from donated preparatory examination sets.

The program, which includes both government and private schools, is designed to offer learners crucial additional practice and a deeper understanding of the examination format ahead of the final Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

MP Mporera stated that this endeavor will become an annual event, underscoring his commitment to improving the readiness of students for their final assessments. A similar program in 2024 was noted for its positive impact, though the 2025 iteration was affected by industrial action.

Champion Baker Turyamureeba, LCV Councillor for Kahungye Sub-County, who flagged off the exams on behalf of the MP, emphasized the initiative’s role in fostering adequate preparation and motivating both students and educators. He also urged parents to support the effort by ensuring their children have necessary food and scholastic materials.

School heads have welcomed the donation, with Benson Nkurunungi, Assistant Headteacher of Kibuga Primary School, highlighting that the examinations often contain questions similar to the actual PLE, providing a distinct advantage. The formation of the Ndorwa West Team Eliab Academic Committee by headteachers was also mentioned as a collaborative effort to improve local education.

Jackson Kyomukama, Headteacher of Buhumba Primary School, added that these mock exams would complement school-level preparations and help reduce the performance disparity between private and government institutions. Christopher Niwagaba, Headteacher of Kamuganguzi Primary School, called upon other district leaders to support similar educational projects, recognizing the link between education and community development.

This program is poised to benefit all Primary Seven candidates in Ndorwa County West as they gear up for their final national examinations.
