Joshua Baraka's B'rakaland Tour Heads to Mbarara Before Kampala Finale

Joshua Baraka, a prominent figure in Uganda’s music scene, is extending his “B’rakaland EA” tour to Mbarara. The show, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, at Nkore Place, represents the tour’s final regional engagement.

This Mbarara performance follows a series of successful shows in Gulu, Arua, and Mbale. The tour is a deliberate effort by Baraka to connect with his fanbase across different regions of Uganda, moving beyond the capital city to foster a broader appreciation for his music and share experiences.

The “B’rakaland” tour aligns with Baraka’s ongoing career expansion, amplified by new music releases and his role as Johnnie Walker’s “Icon Walker” and the face of their “Keep Walking” campaign. This campaign’s ethos of persistent forward movement resonates with Baraka’s own journey from a local artist in Kawempe to a recognized talent with a growing national and international profile.

Baraka expressed his enthusiasm for the tour, stating, “Every stop on this tour has reminded me why the journey matters. You get to see people who know your songs, people who have followed your story and people discovering your music for the first time. Mbarara is the last stop before Kampala, so I am looking forward to making it count and sharing another part of this journey with the people there.”

Following the Mbarara show, the focus will shift to the November finale in Kampala. This concluding event is slated to feature performances by Kenyan artist Bien-Aimé Baraza and Ugandan singer Naava Grey, with more artists expected to be announced.
