Patrick Salvador, a prominent figure in Uganda’s comedy circuit, has publicly commended Alex Muhangi for his tenacious efforts in sustaining Comedy Store for a full decade.

Speaking to local media, Salvador highlighted Muhangi’s pivotal role in fostering the growth of the Ugandan comedy industry. He emphasized that Comedy Store has not only provided a stage for performers but has also served as a significant source of livelihood for many.

“So many people have become rich because of Alex Muhangi. I give him credit for pushing forward for the comedy industry in Uganda. He has gone through different challenges to make it count until today,” Salvador remarked, underscoring the resilience required to maintain such a platform.

Salvador’s praise comes as Comedy Store gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 30th at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. This landmark event is anticipated to gather a multitude of comedians and entertainers who have been integral to the platform’s journey over the past ten years.

While the upcoming anniversary is a cause for celebration, it has also ignited discussions about the future of Comedy Store. Despite some speculation suggesting the event might be a final major celebration, there has been no official confirmation regarding the platform’s closure or future direction.

This tribute from Salvador not only celebrates Muhangi’s entrepreneurial spirit but also acknowledges the broader impact of Comedy Store on the entertainment landscape in Uganda.
