The Uganda Crested Cranes’ aspirations for the 2024 Paris Olympics have been dashed following a comprehensive defeat against Zambia.
The Zambian team showcased a superior performance, securing their advancement to the third round of the five-round qualifying competition.
Uganda’s exit marks a significant setback for the national women’s football team, as they were unable to overcome the challenge posed by their Zambian counterparts.
Zambia will now prepare to compete in the subsequent stages of the Olympic qualifiers, which are scheduled to commence in February.
The Crested Cranes will regroup and focus on future tournaments, learning from this experience.
