As Primary Seven candidates across the country gear up for the crucial Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), leaders in Lwengo District have gathered to offer guidance, emphasizing the importance of discipline, focus, and strong moral values.
Speaking during special prayers held at Kyazanga Modern Primary School, Fr. Mbaga Tuzinde, the parish priest of Kyazanga Parish, addressed the candidates and parents. He stressed that children guided by faith and proper upbringing are much better equipped to achieve their ambitions and become responsible citizens.
Fr. Tuzinde urged the students to stay away from activities that could cause distractions and derail their educational goals, reminding them that remaining focused during this critical period is essential for success.
Echoing similar sentiments, Lwengo District Khadi Hajji Ismail Kibule and District Chairperson Kizito Abasi called upon both learners and parents to take their respective duties seriously as the national examinations approach.
Local education officials, including Richard Sekitoleko and Julius Byaruhanga, the headteacher of Singiro Primary School, pointed out that classroom teachers have successfully played their part in academic preparation. They urged parents to step up supervision at home by monitoring behaviour, limiting distractions, and encouraging active revision.
District stakeholders remain optimistic that collaborative efforts among parents, schools, and religious institutions will not only lead to stellar academic performance but also foster long-term personal development for the young learners.
