Salam TV Gears Up for Omumanyi West Nile Regional Finals in Arua

Preparations are in full swing for the seventh edition of the popular Omumanyi wa Salam TV competition. The West Nile Regional Finals are scheduled to take place on November 7, 2026, at Arua Primary School.

Ahead of the main event, a delegation headed by Salam TV and Salam Charity Managing Director Hajj Karim Kaliisa visited the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Arua Campus. The visit aimed to brief the university leadership on the upcoming competition and extend a formal invitation.

During the visit, the IUIU Secretary General welcomed the delegation and praised Salam TV for its dedication to spreading Islamic teachings. He noted that the broadcaster’s mission of transforming communities through information aligns closely with the university’s core educational values.

The organizing team also inspected the finals venue at Arua Primary School, where the administration pledged full support to ensure a successful event. The regional finals are expected to draw significant local interest as participants showcase their Islamic knowledge.

To cap off the mobilization drive, the team hosted a live broadcast of the Kigudde Waani programme in Arua City. Powered by MTN Uganda, the interactive broadcast introduced local residents and traders to various mobile financial services and promotional offers, including the MTN MoMo App’s Fuel Happy Hour discount.
