A bitter dispute has erupted surrounding the final resting place of the late Ugandan comedian Kapere. Relatives claiming direct ties to the entertainer have come forward with strong demands to exhume his remains and relocate them to his ancestral grounds in Mityana District.

Kapere has already been laid to rest in Mukono. However, aggrieved family members argue that the burial took place entirely without their knowledge or consent. According to relatives who spoke with local media, the comedian’s wife collaborated with members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) to take the body to Mukono covertly.

Expressing their frustration, a family spokesperson stated that it is culturally unacceptable to bypass the ancestral lineage during such critical moments. The family is calling for immediate justice, insisting that the remains be brought back to Mityana for a proper burial on family land.

In addition to the relocation demand, the family has targeted Mama Trump, demanding a public apology. They accuse him of spreading falsehoods by previously claiming that the late comedian had no living relatives to oversee his final send-off.

The ongoing dispute highlights deep tensions regarding family representation and funeral arrangements. As the claims remain allegations for now, the debate over Kapere’s final resting place continues to unfold.
