A bomb exploded just by the entrance of a red bus on Monday evening in the capital of Kenya. The bus was boarding passengers that were heading to Kampala from Nairobi. Police in Kenya have confirmed that over 35 are injured as one died on the spot. The injured were mostly Ugandans making their way to Uganda for Christmas.

The Bus by the brand name Kampala Coach which was red in colour did not have any major dents except for the shattered windows. Since the July twin bombs on Kampala, the city has been on high alert and this bus blast came moments after the Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen Kale Kayihura had just issued an alert ahead of the Xmas festivities.

The explosion went off as the man who was carrying the luggage that contained the bomb was about to be screened. It is not clear at this point if it was a suicide move.
