Partygoers, entertainers, bars and clubs coupled with police are all ready for the count down to usher in 2011 in style. According to police, over 280 spots will be displaying fireworks across the country. You can't miss to see how the police has been deployed in all corners of the city where a good number of revellers will be watching fireworks.

Sheraton and Imperial Royal hotels have been known for their massive fireworks display each year that passes but for this year, cars are going to be packed at a distance and one will have to walk all the way to get to those points just to view the fireworks.

Police will not take any chances after the Al-Shabab warnings and threats to the country. They have increased their fleet of vehicles with a police bike in every 1km. The inspector General of police Kale Kayihura has in the last few days been walking to most of these places just to check how ready most people were when it came to security.

Some of the new year's eve events can be found in our events section for the day 31-Dec-2010 Otherwise Sheraton, Garden City Roof Top, Club Silk that will be having a 2 years Street Dance are some of the places once can go to.

Police is working hand in hand with the organizers o all these events to ensure that everyone is safe. They continue to warn those intending to burn tyres not even think about it.
