Voting has closed in most polling stations and counting of the votes is underway. The poll has been generally peaceful. In the east, things turned violent there and the red cross is on the ground to take care of the wounded. In Mbale, there was a scuffle between the police and supporters for one of the MP's that led to the beating of a District Police Commander whose condition is very bad as he seems to have a problem on the skull. His condition is deteriorating. It is not clear who actually beat up the DPC. It is suspected that he got a blood clot. A razor journalist Julius Odeke fell a victim as he was hit by a bullet shot from Hon. Nandala Mafabi's car. He is admitted in one of the local hospitals. Meanwhile, presidential candidate Olara Otunnu did not cast his vote something that has disturbed his supporters.
