The opposition leader was arrested this morning as he was walking to work like he has been doing in the past week. On Sunday, he walked to church successfully and the police did not disrupt his walking session.

He is being held at Kasangati police station. Military police has been deployed in some areas of the city just to avert any strikes as a result of the arrest. Meanwhile, Semujju Nganda has also been arrested as he was walking from Kireka this morning.

The latest information we are getting is that Uganda People's Congress(UPC) party leader was also arrestedat 9:00am from Shell Nakawa and he is being held at Jinja road police station where his supporters are demanding for his release.
