Gaddafi is not yet down but also not up for long
Libyan rebels yesterday took over Gaddafi's fortified Bab al-Azizya compound in Tripoli after heavy fighting. The rebels have been celebrating at the Green Square by firing into the air over what is becoming clear as a victory over Col. Muammar Gaddafi.

The war has been on for the last six months in the oil rich state with NATO supporting the rebels. It is widely believed that had it not been for the support of NATO, the rebels would have not been able to topple the man who has been in charge of Libya for the last 40 years.

While in the compound of Col, Muammar Gaddafi, it was not clear if he was at the residence or had taken off from a tunnel that leads to neighbouring areas. The rebels destroyed the symbols of power. The war is not over yet as there is still fighting in some parts of Libya and Tripoli.

Col Gaddafi and his sons have still not been caught and there where abouts are still unknown but with Gaddafi still at large, it's not over yet.
