Beauty is the key in the Mrs World pageant though participants are expected to voice their views on marriage and current affairs. The pageant is open to married women, young wives, mothers and grannies.
The pageant fosters greater communication friendship and mutual understanding. Last year, Uganda was represented by music veteran Halima Namakula who is over 50 years but still has those looks of under thirty.
To participate in this event, one has to fill an online form off the Mrs World website for evaluation. It is not clear how many Ugandans participated in this event but at least Crystal has been confirmed as the Ugandan representative. Now that the theme of the pageant is for married women and has a lot to do with marriages, Crystal is doing a lot of research on Ssenga issues which she can share with the other participants.
