One of the officers explained that a notice was long given so that was the right time to remove what they felt they needed. The KCCA caterpillar just started off with the demolitions. A plain clothes man with an AK47 and a pistol intervened and was shooting at people more so at close range. At some point he used his pistol shooting at people. The latest information we are getting is that the Deputy KCCA physical planner John Agaba will have to avail more informartion on the matter. The man who shot has been arrested according to the Deputy Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba. The man is called Makmot. She added that as police, they were not informed about the demolitions and by the time they came to the scene, the KCCA officials had left the area. An official from KCCA has clarified on the officials who carry out the demolitions that are normally not armed raising concerns on who the plain clothes man was and who he was working for.
