Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) has taken action on the physical planner who oversaw the demolition exercise in Luzira that left one John Onyango dead. Agaba will now receive half pay as investigations into the matter go on. The KCCA Executive Director Jenipher Musisi while addressing journalists said that burial expenses for the dead and those injured will be taken care of by the Authority. She also regretted the manner in which the eviction exercise was carried out. Separately, the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has criticised the method in which the Deputy physical planner George Agaba used to effect the eviction process. Agaba and his guard Santos Makmot Komakech are in police custody over the Luzira deadly shooting. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) while meeting the affected residents told them that Agaba was likely to face murder charges and also asked them not to blame the police for the actions of Komakech because he is not a police officer.
