A quick search on Uganda Twitter accounts in general and celebs in particular revealed that most of the accounts were not verified apart from Invisible Children, the NGO that was behind the Kony 2012 video that became viral. Twitter Verified accounts normally have a blue verified badge.
Accounts of personalities that are prone to impersonation are verified on a day today basis by Twitter. A statement from Twitter reads in part; "Twitter proactively verifies accounts on an ongoing basis to make it easier for users to find who they're looking for.
We concentrate on highly sought users in music, acting, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, advertising, business, and other key interest areas. We verify business partners from time to time and individuals at high risk of impersonation.
After this we should be able to see some verified Twitter accounts from Uganda but considering that most of our celebs don't have websites which is one of the criteria for determining which accounts to be verified, it might take a bit of time.
On facebook for example, Iryn Namubiru and Juliana Kanyomozi have fallen victims of this vice with so many accounts being opened under their names and yet they are not authentic.
