Paddy Bitama Ssali is now actively in politics
Paddy Bitama Ssali (32) picked forms to contest for the post of President and he was rejected after they did not take him serious. He is a born again and has been with the comedian group, Amarula family until recently when he quit to join politics.

The former comedian whose parents died at a tender age wants to leave a legacy behind and would prefer to be remembered for having done something other than comedy and this is the direction he is pursuing.

Appearing on NTV's Tuwaye program by Frank Walusimbi today, Paddy says that by the time they realise that he is not joking anymore, it will be too late. The comedian says he is not happy with the way government is running its business.

Paddy Bitama started comedy in this country and he is proud that to date, there are over twelve comedy groups that have come up as a result of his efforts. To this he plans to set a comedy university.

Paddy has been very active with FDC's leader Kizza Besigye having meals in Nakasero market among others. Paddy says that no comedian can stand the teargas and the beatings they've been subjected to in their recent processions.

The comedian who left Amarula family an 11-year-old comedy group and is now a member of the 4GC (For God and My Country) that replaced A4C (Actions for Change)will be contesting for member of parliament in Kyadondo North in 2016.
