Sarah Kizito being arrested by the KCCA enforcement officers
Business at Centenary Park was yesterday at a standstill after police raided the area as early as 4am and sealed off part of the park that is right opposite the Electoral Commission.

The main entrance to Centenary park via Wampewo Avenue was blocked as police denied entry through the main gate. Some of the affected Centenary Park tenants were seen parking their property to pave way for the demolitions. Police was on full alert to avoid any chaos.

Early in the day, there was a scuffle between the KCCA city enforcement officers and the workers in the park who were trying to resist arrest as the demolition of the fence on Jinja road was under way.

The Lady Charlotte boss Sarah Kizito a wife to Godfrey Nyakaana the Kampala Division Central Chairman was arrested in a manner that was not ideal for a lady. The  affected tenants have up to end of the month to vacate the place.

The affected businesses include Ice Ways, Car Security Gadgets, Effendy's, Spice Gardens, Kidz Avenue, Vitamin Cafe, Diva Models among others.
