The gate to Panamera Bar right opposite Kampala Parents School in Naguru is out of bounds as police continue to investigate the death of a waiter at the bar who died on Sunday morning under unclear circumstances.
According to the bar's new set of rules, no employee should report for work with a phone or money, in this way employees a subjected to a thorough check before and after work.
At 3:00am Badru Kateregga who was checking out was found with Shs 10,000/- that was given to him by a friend who used to work at the same bar but got fired a few months back.
He was whisked to a cell within the bar and whipped. He later died as a result of the injuries. Two other waiters who tried to help out Badru were equally beaten and are now admitted nursing serious injuries.
Police and KCCA have now closed the bar and the hunt for the bar owner Desh Kananura is on. The Police spokesperson Ibin Sekumbi confirmed that the search for Desh was on not only for this case but also for several other cases that were reported earlier.
Panamera bar is six months old.
