Konshen's Kampala show was a success
Jamaican Dance-Hall star Garfield Spence aka Konshens brought Kampala on its knees at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds last Friday.

Unlike the Demarco and Sisqo shows that flopped, the Konshens Live Golden Jubilee Concert that was sponsored by Blue Cube, Coca Cola, XFM, The Kampala Sun, Pinnacle Security Ltd and Urban TV was a success.

By 5:00pm, revellers had started taking up strategic positions just to get a feel of their Jamaican star whose music appeals to many Ugandans. Jose Chameleone, Swangz Avenue singers, Don MC, Young Mulo among others did perform.

Bebe Cool chose to just sit back and watch the show in the company of his wife Zuena as he prepares for his album launch next month. At exactly 11:00pm, the gal a bubble star hit the stage sending simply dressed gals wild.

Konshens started off with most of his popular songs that included 'Forward', 'No Retreat No Surrender', 'Dag Gal', and Simple Song before going for a break. He returned with a bang doing 'Gal a Bubble' that was done twice due to public demand.

The show was generally a success though with a few short-comings. Some people watched the show from out and yet had bought tickets, the VIP section was more like the general happiness area.

The success of the show was strongly attributed to Konshen's looks and his music that  appeals to the majority of the youth. Konshens thanked the Ugandan fans for the much love that they showed him,

"Uganda family big up and happy 50th. Last night was epic... I still haven't slept. Thanx 4 da luv." Meanwhile, trust Jose Chameleone, he recorded a song with Konshens as part of the celebrations to mark Uganda's independence.
