It was a tight match between Uganda Cranes and Zambia's Chipolopolo as the Cranes put up a good game with Geoffrey Massa scoring within the first 30 minutes.
The scores remained like that till the end of the game forcing the match to shift to a penalty shoot out. Zambia scored 9 penalties against Uganda's 8 automatically making it to AFCON in South Africa.
"It was a very interesting match and we have to give it to Uganda because Zambia being much experienced, we are proud of Uganda for having put up a good fight." said a Zambian player.
Zambia's Chipolopolo has won the war but lost the battle bearing in mind that they are African Champions. Namboole was on fire right after the first goal. It was visible that after that goal, the Chipolopolo players were under pressure, they even earned themselves a yellow card.
The Chipolopolo players are now celebrating a penalty shoot-out win which will see them play in the 2013 AFCON games that will be held in South Africa.
