As early as 3pm, some parts of Kampala were flooded courtesy of the heavy down pour on Friday as many were busy getting ready for the Sean Paul Live concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
This was an early warning for most fans to equip themselves with the right rain gear ranging from long jackets, gum-boot like shoes and so on just to see the Jamaican pop star bring it down at Lugogo.
The tickets have been on sale for the last one month so there was no way rain that lasted for about 3 hours could disrupt fans that have waited that long for the dance-hall icon. Salvador and NTV's Robin Kisti are the MCs of the night.
Club Silk has put up a great stage, the sound is good and so is the lighting. Curtain raisers included Navio, Goodlyfe Crew - Radio and Weasel doing 'Talk n Talk' among others. Chameleone was the last ont to perform among the curtain raisers and yet he had another show waiting for him at Club Obligato.
Sean Paul and the Queen dancers have got on stage at about 10:30pm doing 'Gimme the Light' leaving the crowd shouting RRRRRRRRR. The show continues and additional reporting will follow.
The Sean Paul Concert is sponsored by Club.
