Zambia's Mampi to perform on Valentine's day in Uganda

Thunder thigh dancer Mampi Mukape of the Swililili fame will be performing in Uganda on Valentine's day. The Zambian artiste who is nominated in four categories in the Zambian Awards will be coming to Uganda for the second time. The first time was when she was in the country when Uganda Cranes were playing against the Chipolopolo team from Zambia.

The 'Walilowelela' singer will be performing at Hotel Africana on February 14, 2013 along side local artistes like Iryn Namubiru, Bobi Wine, Aziz Azion and Yung Mullo among others. On Feb.17, 2013 the singer brought in by KT Promotions will then perform at Entebbe Resort Beach.

Ragga Dee is not on the local line of artistes to curtain raise for the Zambian singer after coming up with a song dubbed 'Sweet Tee Tee' may be to make it easier for those who thought that the song was done by a Ugandan.

In the song Ragga Dee sings in Luganda that: ''Swetietietie Wakula figure kwogatta no Omubiri...Swetietietie Walungiwa Amagulu No Omubiri sounding exactly like Mampi's original version.

Some time last year in our article (Foreign Artistes Taking Over from The Local Artistes) we predicted Mampi's coming to Uganda following the number of foreign artistes who had performed in Uganda.

Most top artistes from Jamaica like Beenie Man, Sean Kingston, Mr. Vegas,  and Elephant Man among others have already performed and it won't be surprising that artistes like Mampi from Zambia will be here.
