Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has won the March 04, 2013 Kenyan presidential poll with a 50.3% of the vote avoiding a run off. Prime Minister Raila Odinga followed closely with 43.28%. The Kenyan election had eight candidates who included Martha Karua as the only lady in the presidential elections. Raila Odinga has been quoted saying that he will challenge the presidential results in the courts. It has been one week with of slow activity as Kenyans patiently waited for the winner to be announced. The current elections have been largely peaceful compared to whagt the situation was five years back.
