Meddie and Capt Mike Mukula listen to a lawyer at the commercial court

Last December, Tycoon Ivan Semwanga and his pals went to Luzira Prison to check on Meddie Ssentongo and while there, he told them that on completing his jail term, he does not expect any tycoon on the social scene other than himself.

But Meddie's plans have been shattered after the Commercial Court on Thursday granted David Greenhalgh's lawyer, Patrick Farah to go ahead and attach Meddie Sentongo's property valued at slightly over Shs7bn. This has left Meddie homeless.

Three plots in Munyonyo and an account number in Stanbic Bank with close to Shs2bn plus an acre of land is part of the property liable to attachment.

Other properties to be confiscated are several plots of land within the city, two vehicles belonging to Bad Black, a BMWX6 - UAP 304 D maroon in colour and a Navy Blue Range Rover UAP 838 L which are currently at Nakawa after a verification exercise revealed that the cars had issues. The BMWX6 was assessed as BMWX5, thus paying less in taxes.

Meddie who was in court yesterday with a new ball that he took to his inmates at Luzira Prison where he's serving 18 months. Meddie was found guilty for conspiring with Bad Black to defraud Daveshan Development Ltd, a company owned by David Greenhalgh.

Bad Black was a minority shareholder in the company. She was sentenced to four years but applied for bail to go for treatment in Dubai and since then, she is still at large. An International warrant was issued for her arrest.
