Singer Iryn Namubiru still in Japan
The Interpol Boss in Uganda, Asan Kasingye has confirmed that Iryn Namubiru was indeed arrested in Tokyo, Japan over possession of illegal drugs.

"And since Namubiru is a Ugandan national although she holds a French passport, we as Interpol in Uganda got involved, and we are working with France to help our national out of this," Kasingye who was speaking on phone added.

"We also intend to carry out our own investigations here so that we may get to know the people involved in the purchase and parking. You may find that she could not have been doing it alone, there could have been other people in the background, so our investigations are going to involve around the whole transaction."

The issue of this parcel leaving Entebbe International Airport has left a lot to be desired. Interpol has also promised to look into it. Meanwhile, the Japan promoter, Kim Ueno whose real name is Kim Tumwesigye is believed to have travelled to Uganda on learning that Iryn had been detained.

Iryn's fans across the country and in the diaspora are still in shock over what has befallen one of Uganda's top female singer. All travellers are now having a thing or two to learn from the incident.
