You're Fired - Using his facebook wall at exactly midnight on Jul 20, 2013, Bebe Cool announced that Rehema Namakula aka Rema was not part of the Gagamel family anymore and that the Coccidiosis rehearsals will go on without her. Her place is likely to be filled by Irene Ntale, currently signed to Swangz Avenue.
The statement read: "I would like to officially announce the departure of Rema Namakula from Gagamel today." The Gagamel boss normally types with caps on but along the statement, he turned the caps low, trying to give the impression that he is calm as he stated the three reasons behind the sacking.
The 'Coccidiosis' singer who a few days back denounced booze and Shisha wished the 'Kukaliba' singer and also the girl with the deepest dimple in the country well. "Rema, I wish you luck and I pray Allah guides you through to your dreams," before reminding his fans of the launch dates for the Cocci or Cocodiosis album launch slated for 6th, 7th and 8th September, 2013.
Meanwhile, the shocking announcement came hours after Rema had just told the nation that all was well and she was still signed to the Gagamel family. This won't be a cool night for her and certainly not one of those nights that she can be in the mood for her fans to expect fire just like her latest club banger suggests.
The Masaka born star was formerly a back-up vocalist for veteran singer, Halima Namakula. She is behind songs like 'Oli Wange', 'Fire Tonight' with two collaborations with the Gagamel boss, 'Cease and Seckle', and 'Missing You'.
The fans are expressing various views on the latest developments with others saying that is an opportunity for another artiste to be trained. Kiwoko Boys are some of the artistes who have left the crew.
