Dorah Mwima's new look
Most people tend to shave their hair for various reasons ranging from health related issues like cancer, even style or better still, for a role in a movie, but Dorah Mwima did it for-Cancer Awareness.

Miss Uganda 2008 beauty queen stunned everyone when she shaved all her hair off. Its now slightly over a month when Dorah has not had to worry about what wig/weave or hair extension to wear.

Some people could hardly recognise her at the last Miss Uganda Pageant that was held at Kampala Serena. Dorah was forced to explain her boldness in the bald move, and this is what she had to say:

"Simply having a heart and "a passion for care"... Sometimes it's just sacrificing what we love the most that can bring a smile and change to thousands of hearts!"

This very move got another ex-beauty queen commending the cause. "Wow Dorah, God bless you, this is a very beautiful thing to do, I lost my grannie two years ago from cancer, much love," Salma Nassanga wrote.

Dorah who resigned her job to concentrate on charity activities under her Dorah Mwima Foundation adds that: "I was inspired by Stefania Ferrarrio, a 20 year-old-model, who spots a bald head advocating for cancer awareness."

On the 24 Aug 2013, there will be a celebrity football game at Lugogo Grounds-Legends and proceeds from the game will be channeled to the pediatric patients at the Uganda Cancer Institute - Children's ward. Bebe Cool, Peter Miles, Salma Nassanga and Ex-Blu3 member, Lilian Mbabazi are expected to play.
