Uganda's music heavy weight Dr. Jose Chameleone is in Malawi for performances starting this Friday together with his young brother AK47. The Badilisha star arrived safely in Malawi on Thursday joining his band members who had travelled earlier. The Malawi tour is just days after winning the African Entertainment Award for 'Best International Male Artist'
He assured his fans in one of his tweets that: "All I do is win win win no matter what..." as he thanked them for the votes that enabled him to get the 24k gold award. As if confirming the title for his latest award, the 'Badilisha' star has been to Tanzania, Congo, Zambia and now Malawi in just five weeks and yet before that, he had been in the US for a month on a Badilisha tour.
Before the Malawi tour, he was supposed to perform in Dubai at Dhow Palace, but the organisers were a bit slow at sorting out the paper work, so he switched to Malawi. On Sept 11, 2013 Chameleone will be in the UK ahead of the Uganda Convention UK 2013 that will be held at Troxy Arena on September 14, 2013.
Tonight, Chameleone will be performing some of his hits that include 'Valu-Valu', 'Badilisha' among others while AK47 won't miss out his latest, 'Nali Simanyi' at Comesa Hall in Blantyre and on Saturday, the star will be at Mungo Park, Lilongwe and on Sunday, he will complete the Malawi tour with a performance at Lilongwe Golf Club.
So when the star uses his tag line "Leone Island Tugende Tukole" meaning Leone Islanders Let's get to work, you know exactly where he is coming from and where he is headed.
