His fans will now be seeing him more often on NTV as he joins Frank Walusimbi who has been alternating with female news anchors like; Hatmah Nalugwa and Faridah Nakazibwe. Being his first day at work, he looked composed and a bit slow for his voice but, of course, these were not headlines, so the way he read the news was a little different from his usual trademark derived from his voice.
However, in the background, especially during commercials and breaks, you could hear him do his thing and had it not been for the NTV logo, one could easily think they were watching 'Agataliiko Nfuufu'.
Patrick got his Kazaalabwana nickname from a story he covered for Bukedde TV of a dog that had produced so many puppies. As he reported, he had to give it a grabber statement which went like; 'Embwaaaaa Kazaalabwanaaaaa'. Being one of his first stories, colleagues referred to him as such.
Now that he has moved on, chances are he will drop the nickname. NTV has not only recruited talented presenters from elsewhere like Douglas Lwanga, formerly of Record TV but has also gone ahead to recruit personalities like Zuena Kirema, Bebe Cool's wife to take up the slot that Life Stories' Justine left when she resigned.
