Last Saturday was 'Zari's Birthday Bash' on turning 33 and all went well except for the fight at the end. It kicked off with a birthday cruise which saw all guests drink, dance and party as they enjoyed the ride. Like it is the case for Zari's parties, there was flowing champagne on this one too.
At the end of the birthday cruise, it was time for the after party. During the after party, Zari had to cut and serve the guests with a Louis Vuitton cake. The mom of three accentuated her curves in a cream tight dress and straight on dashed for pole-dancing, something that left many of her male guests yearning for more.
Then came the issue of only playing Naija music and yet Zari loves a bit of 'Valu-Valu' and 'Badilisha' in her flow, so she had to hit the DJ box to see if DJ Scratch could play some UG music but unfortunately, that's where she met this guy, a Congolese who had gate crashed and was busy complementing her; and to make matters worse, he was doing what Ivan does best - dishing out cash to the ladies who were strutting their stuff for him.
This did not go down well with the party host and also Zari's husband, Ivan Ssemwanga who was quick to rough up this 'intruder' with the help of his boys. A source at the party had this to say in relation to the fight:
"The Congolese guy was with some South African friends busy throwing cash to the gals something that attracted Ivan to find out who he was and it was during this time that a fight broke out. Zari had to leave the boys to sort themselves now that it was her day, she wasn't going to let it be ruined for some reason."
Short of that, the party went on well and all those who attended, speak volumes about how well organised it was.
