Bebe Cool and Nigeria's D'Banj are expected to perform with their live bands in Harare. It's the first time that both artistes will be performing in Zimbabwe. The event which is being organised by Delta Beverages is under the theme: 'The Battle of Africa' as artistes from East Africa, South Africa and West Africa will be performing. They will share the stage with local dance-hall stars like Wallace Chirumiko aka Winky D, King Shaddy and Emmanuel Manyeruke commonly known by his stage name, Guspy Warrior. "This year organizers did not choose the artistes, but the people of Zimbabwe voted for musicians they wanted to perform at the beer festival through a Lion Lager programme aired on local radio stations. D’banj and Bebe Cool had the highest votes so we decided to bring them to reward our loyal consumers,” said Patricia, the Delta Beverages Marketing Manager. D'Banj will do some of his hits that include: 'Oliver Twist' and 'Why Me'....while Bebe Cool will be doing 'Bogolako', 'Tozimba Mutima', 'Kabirinage', 'Kasepiki' and 'Kokodiosis' among others. Bebe Cool and the Gagamel Crew band will be in Harare on Oct 24 and are expected back on Oct 28. Meanwhile, had it not been for the recent squabbles between Chameleone and Bebe Cool, the Zimbabwe fans could have seen the latter perform 'Maoko Na Maoko' a song that Chameleone did in a Zimbabwean language.
