"Ms Shanita Namuyimbwa has been living in Rwanda for two months now after arriving from Bangkok, Thailand in July 2013. She is wanted in Uganda for embezzlement of millions of dollars from her British ex-lover David Greenhalgh." Rwanda Police spokesperson ACP Damas Gatare said in a statement.
Bad Black was later in the day released on bond. Trust her, she quickly dashed to her smart phone to update her facebook wall claiming that she was in Singapore and not Rwanda. Bad Black also used the moment to scoff at those who wondered how one could hide in Rwanda and yet an arrest warrant had been issued next door.
The news of Bad Black's arrest dominated all TV's and radio stations plus social networking sites. Newspapers on Thursday (Oct 17) hit stands with Bad Black on the front page.
Uganda's police spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba said that they were working hand in hand with their counterparts in Rwanda to have her extradited to Uganda where a number of charges have been raised against her.
