Christopher Thomas has now accepted his mistakes and apologized to his wife, Princess Ruth Komuntale, King Oyo and his mother-in-law, The Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa and to Ugandans at large and the people of Tooro in particular.
The apology comes shortly after the Kingdom had issued a statement on the break-up and emphatically asked Thomas to refrain from using facebook to address his marital problems.
In his long letter of apology, the Duke of Tooro realizes that if he had sought God's intervention in this, he could have gotten better results than bringing his problems to social networking sites. Christopher is now appealing to the churches, elders, parents to talk to Ruth and advise her that divorce is not right.
"People will say I am crazy, I need help , and I need doctor and you are right because I am human and in Love. Love makes you do the craziest things and now I'm taking a jump of faith to apologize to everyone to calm everything down."
He adds that he still loves his wife though whatever he did was out of anger and sadness because his wife was far away. "Will Ruth family forgive and forget today, I don't think so but if Ruth comes out and does the right thing as a Christian, she will show the God in her and other people will follow."
"So the right thing for me to do right now is to apologize to everyone on FB and the world for putting my marriage issues on FB. I let my pride, ego and weed as you say, my drink as you think to the Lord and I have faith that whatever happens between Ruth and I God will be pleased with me because I was man enough to apologize."
The Princess is yet to respond to this latest development, though this is now a better environment than it was before.
