Last Sunday (Dec 08) was the first Father Daughter dance at Kampala Serena Hotel. Rema Namakula, Myco Ouma, Irene Ntale and Joanita Kawalya were the performers of the night.

The MC of the night, Abbey Mukiibi opened the dance and invited Rema (22) who hit the floor to do her ‘Kukaliba’ hit song. Unfortunately for her, both mom and dad passed away, the reason she broke down during her performance.

Rema has always wished that her parents were around to see how she rocks the music industry. NTV’s Sheila Gashumba and Obsession’s Jackie Tusiime were some of the daughters who rocked the dance floor with their fathers.

Jamilah Mayanja was the brain behind the father-daughter dance and she says; “this is a chance for us to dance off that moment we missed in life.”
