Updated: Comedian Paddy Bitama is dead. He died this afternoon at Mulago hospital where he had been admitted in a critical condition.
Paddy tried setting up his own comedy group, but the good plans didn't work out as planned. Being the pioneer of comedy in the country, he also had bigger plans of setting up a Comedy University, but the illness has affected all this.
Before falling sick, Paddy had embarked on his political plans of contesting as Kyadondo North MP in 2016, but looking at his condition now, it's left to be seen if he will still pursue those plans. Paddy had been with the Amarula family for eleven years before quitting to join politics.
Still on his political ambitions, Paddy Bitama tried to contest for Presidency in the year 2010, but his academic papers could not measure up. Being a comedian though, it wasn't easy for him to be taken seriously as most of his efforts were continuously treated as comedy stints.
