Paddy Bitama was buried yesterday in a send off that is befitting for a VIP. Police was everywhere - not that he was a former presidential aspirant, but because of the earlier wrangles from two families that were claiming his body.
The ceremony was attended by former Forum for Democratic Change leader Dr. Kizza Besigye, The Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, Pastor Wilson Bugembe and Bobi Wine among others.
Amooti, one of the Amarula Family members told mourners that Paddy has left a dent in their comedy group. The fallen comedian had four kids, and the youngest was a girl. One of the mourners offered to help her with the basics.
Peter Njengula Kasozi was grateful to the media for having been with him through thick and thin. Paddy died on January 11, 2014 from skin cancer but was only buried on January 20, 2014 after subjecting his body to DNA tests.
