Looking at Chameleone's BTI card, you could easily think that he has already signed up for the National ID card better known as a Kitambulisho, but, it's the Busoga Tourism Initiative (BTI) card. It should be recalled that just recently, the speaker of Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga appointed the 'Vumilia' singer, Jose Cameleone as the Busoga Ambassador.
The choice of Chameleone as the Busoga Ambassador got tongues wagging with many wondering why Chameleone, who is not a Musoga had to be chosen to promote Busoga's tourist sites and yet we've got quite a number of artistes hailing from that region. Rachel Magoola of the 'Obangaina Fame', Afande Mega Dee, Maurice Kirya and fast rising star, Maro, the 'Kyokoba' singer among others.
The organisers are looking at how popular one was and that's why they chose Chameleone, a Ugandan who is popular in the country and abroad.
Chameleone is now appealing to every one, friends and fans to register for the Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge that will be taking place in May 2014.
"I am greatly honored to be using my office as Ambassador of Busoga Tourism Initiative as appointed by the RT. Honourable speaker of parliament to invite all of my friends to register at the Uganda Tourism Board offices at the National Theatre for the thrilling Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge that is to take place on the 9th and 10th May. Leone Island fans join me as we build Tourism in Uganda."
Meanwhile, his 'Leone' Cadillac Escalade has been released as it was spotted along Entebbe road. It had been attached over a 7m tax, but all that is now behind him.
