Olavi's Body Found 36 Hours Later! April 27, 2014 (Munyonyo) (KLA) -- Yusuf Matovu aka Youma's family is mourning their son who drowned in Lake Victoria on Sunday. Olavi Matovu, 34, was pulled from the lake by police marine unit and special airforce soldiers on Tuesday afternoon.. It was supposed to be a fun day as Olavi with friends went for a day trip but at around 6:30pm, he dived into the water to swim as they waited for a colleague who was cruising another boat ski. He got caught up in the strong current. Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said that the body was recovered not very far from where he dived, though he was lighter than his presumed weight. He also had swellings. Authorities took the body to Mulago Hospital for further investigations from pathologists. The current must have been so strong because Olavi is such a good swimmer who is fond of doing long distances. It is sad because his wedding was due for next month. Olavi will be buried tomorrow.
