Esther Akakwansa, the birthday gal

Birthday wishes from the ex-husband! Model Esther Akankwasa received love from her former flame, Nico Damminger on her 24th birthday, which fell on Saturday, August 09.

"Happy b-day, Essie...all my best wishes, " Nico wrote on Esther's timeline.

In May 2013, Esther and Nico were exchanging vows at Kansanga Miracle Centre, but the couple split after 9 months of staying together. It wasn't an easy decision but the model cum dancer decided to stay friends with Nico.

Nico was very hurt during that time; "Fact is that I financed 100% of her life for 13 months that I offered her stuff for over 25M, that I bought her a RAV4 last December and that I financed this fake wedding all alone. All together around 100M..But that's only money and for me not really important though painful to lose for such a person."

While their romance has fizzled, Nico feels that Esther was and still is special to him.
