Kenyan artist, Nameless real name David Mathenge has a Luganda song dubbed Butterfly (Kiwojjolo). The single's video is already doing rounds on local TV stations. It was produced by Washington. The video is right up there, be the judge, did Nameless nail it?
He was inspired by a Ugandan fan who asked him to do a Luganda song. Nameless becomes the first Kenyan artist to sing in Luganda clearly trying to outsmart Ugandan artists Like Chameleone, Cindy and Bebe Cool among others that have Swahili songs.
We've also seen our very own artists like Iryn Namubiru doing Niwe, a Kinyarwanda song, Bebe Cool doing Moyo Wangu in Swahili and a bit of Kinyanrwanda.
It's not new that artists are doing songs in foreign languages but this attack on our local artists is something that puts Nameless a class apart.
