Robert Ahimbisibwe - "Will not react to anything that is before court, but just allow me to state that wealth is worked for and not just wished. You rent out a room, then storm in at night and get valuables! Once again, I assure you that Select Garments has active court orders to do business @ Forest Mall despite these actions. We will be up and running soon. Thax 4 understanding."
The only Select Garments outlet in Kampala was closed yesterday after all items in the shop were attached over the shs 700m debt.
All valuable items including wedding gowns, suits plus a flat screen TV among others were taken. The officers from the debt recovery office added that they will even go for the only branch left in Mbarara to try and recover items that can reduce the mount in question.
It should be recalled that the very shop was closed two months back and they were happy to let their customers know that they were back in business.
"SELECT GARMENTS & Beyond @ Forest Mall Lugogo is now very open and ready to serve. our investment was never a hot tip. It is a result of our desire, drive, discipline, ambition and attitude. Risky as it may appear but its what keeps us moving forward."
We win not because we are smart or that we never fail, but because there is no 2nd place in our world. To win any struggle, one confronts many battles, some of which are lost. Our idea is "Special & Different". We thank Thee for your support and love especially in the times of our dire need. God bless you and remember your next item is ready."
When called regarding his outlet and what had happened earlier, he said that he was not aware of the amount in question.
