Inset - Desire Luzinda at the police HQs in Naguru

Desire has tried out a number of things from  a TV presenter with WBS, a radio host on Dembe FM coupled with her music career.

First Concert

The mom of one split with her music manager, Ken Ntaro, way back in 2009. They had been together for over five years and back then, she was a force to reckon with lots of music gigs, sponsorships courtesy of her manager who also doubled as a lover. He sponsored her first concert in 2008.

Desire has been around to the extent that the defunct Blu*3 came on board and quickly moved up the ranks from uprising stars to stars when Desire ‘25’ was around wiggling her waist for the fans.

Second Concert

In 2010, she hooked up with the Nigerian Oga, Franklin Emoubor Emikeme who says that the long list of Desire’s unending lovers was one of the problems he faced while dating the singer.

He still went on to sponsor the Black and White Affair (Desire Luzinda’s second) concert, but Serena Hotel is not for the faint hearted, they (Desire+Franklin) had to borrow and improvise from all corners just to pull off the show. Desire, indeed, shocked many for having a crowd that could easily be confused for Juliana's.

As it turned out, most of the revellers were given free tickets (As told by Franklin) implying that the curvy singer made losses. After several reminders, money lenders were left with no option but to swing into action, they arrested Desire.

The singer who was clad in beaded sandals from Kenya at the time of her arrest tried to run but the bailiffs over powered her. A friend in need is a friend indeed, Seya, came to her rescue when he made a deposit to secure her temporary release.

On being asked why she had been arrested, Desire said that it was Franklin responsible for the problems she was going through. This was a naked lie as far as Franklin was concerned, he shot back, but that was not helping, he resorted to leaking the singer’s pix they took during their moment of madness.

The pics had all Desire’s features ranging from the tattoo to the curves to the point that, she could not claim it was photoshop, thus issuing an apology in which the singer said she was sorry, the pics were taken during her ‘moment of madness’.

Following the leaked pics, the singers’ social network profiles have registered a high increase in likes, followers and instagramers among others. That is not all, foreign news services like BBC, Daily Mail among others have keenly taken interest in the story branding her as a revenge porn victim.

While contemplating her next move, the singer now wants to give Eddy Kenzo a run for his money when it comes to YouTube views, she has released her latest video dubbed Ekitone. In the song, the singer says she is talented and gifted and to crown it all, she’s got gold and honey right there…

The song is now a call back tune and ringtone for most Desire Luzinda fans. Today, (Nov 19), Desire Luzinda went to police headquarters in Naguru to record her statement. The closed door session meeting lasted for two hours, she was set free there after.
