The parents of Arnella Miracle Kamanzi (2), the little girl who was tortured to near death have issued a statement following the sentencing of Jolly Tumuhiirwe, to four years in jail. Arnella turned 2 on Dec 9.
"To everyone that felt our pain, that supported us, that prayed, and still praying for us, we say THANK YOU. These last few weeks have been extremely hurtful and so stressful.. and like most of you, we wish we could erase what we saw our little girl go through.. but we can't."
"Never the less, we thank God that Little Miracle Arnella is alive and well, physically. The trauma she has is too much, and very evident, but we pray and hope it passes soon. The case has finally come to a close."
"With a sentence of 4 years handed out to the maid, its our prayer as parents that no child has to go through any sort of torture and assault like our little girl did, and again; Thank you world for the love and concern shown. We appreciate, Eric & Wife."
